Kristi’s Story: Changing the story for good

When Kristi consulted one of her colleagues in the HR field about where her Angel gift could be best used, it turned out that she knew a woman who worked at her own company as a security guard. Making $10.50/hour, this woman’s options for housing were somewhat limited. When her apartment was condemned, she found herself with no resources to move. The new apartment that she was able to find within her means was on the third floor, and without access to a truck, the woman was forced to leave most of her belongings behind.

Kristi’s Angel Gift became a part of the the woman’s employer’s larger effort to help her recover as she moved into the new home, including purchasing her a new mattress and a cart for moving groceries up to the third floor. When circumstances deteriorated outside of her control, the recipient found hope with help from Angels on the Street.
