If her daughter hadn’t been paying attention, Kristin would have missed the man at the edge of the parking lot of McDonalds. Using the streetlight to go through the meager belongings in his shopping cart, he was pulling out the necessities he would need for what was sure to be a cold night. Reaching into her wallet for some change, Kristin noticed the Angel’s in the Street white envelope, seemingly waiting for this moment. With a mother’s watchful eye, Kristin allowed her daughter to take the man the Angel Gift and then run back to the running vehicle. As the car door closed, the man looked up from the now-open envelope and gave an enormous smile, just visible in the sodium-vapor glow.
