One morning, I was stopping by Einstein’s to get a bagel and coffee before work. There was a gentleman outside asking for a few dollars to buy a cup of coffee. We got to talking as I was leaving the store—we talked about our Thanksgivings, our plans for the upcoming holidays. We talked until we got to my car, where I told him I had some money to give him. He offered me a sandwich and to clean my car windows in return. I told him there was nothing he needed to do in return and handed him the envelope.
