It looks like it will be a VERY cold winter here in MO so 1st I cleaned out my closet. I donated those items at a store here that benefits the big sister and big brother programs. Being a first time Angel, my wife and I had no idea where to start or how to find a person or family in need.  We were in the car driving around town and ended up downtown.  We had approached APD in search of guidance on perhaps where to go on the idea that they typically are aware of people in need of congregate.  APD had directed us to a shelter in town for a good starting point.

I chose to donate to Paws and Stripes, a non-profit organization in Rio Rancho which is one-of-a-kind and located in New Mexico. They match local shelter dogs with vets suffering from PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries to assist them in their daily lives and to help overcome the ongoing effects on these issues.
