Giving Stories

This year, our company’s ‘Angels on the Streets’ program felt especially personal. My son’s best friend recently lost his mother, and I knew his family could use some extra support this holiday season. It felt right to choose them. They were so grateful that we thought of them during this difficult time, and it meant a lot to be able to offer them some comfort and support.

My mom had a massive stroke on November 29th. She has been in a shared hospital room with new roommates coming and going sine she has been there. Yesterday she received a new roommate again and his daughter and wife were with him. My brother took his life July 1st leaving behind a wife, and three daughters. I gave the money to Madi, his wife to do something for herself. She deserves some time to take a break.

I gave the envelope to a woman who had recently lost her daughter and is now caring for her two young grandchildren. Very humble woman who had already been helping with care for her other child and grandchild before losing her daughter. She stated she lives off her retirement had been worried about getting through the holiday. I shared the angel on the street story and she was beyond grateful with tears in her eyes. 

There is a lady who within the last couple of weeks had a severe health issue and has not been able to work. She was humbled and felt blessed with the Angels on the Streets gift she received.
