I gave $100 to a woman in my community that has experienced a lot of hardship and heartbreak in her life these last few months. She tragically lost her 16 year old daughter a few months ago and not long after that someone burglarized her home. She is a single mother that struggles just to make it day by day.

She works part time in a local pub in town and that’s when my husband, daughter and myself stopped in. She waited on us that evening and at the end of the night I found the opportunity to slide the $100 bill to her. When she looked down and saw it, she immediately started tearing. She kept repeating thank you and telling us how much that meant to her and how bad it was needed. It brought tears to my eyes as well because I felt so proud to be able to do that for her. It was an amazing feeling to see how much it meant and how it was going to help her. I felt very proud that we were able to make her night a little better and put a smile on her face.
