For Angels on the Streets this year, my family chose a neighbor. We came to know this neighbor through a CPR class. She recognized us and ever since has made special trips down the street with fresh apples from her back yard or to tell us “I have just what you need” during yard sale season. Recently, she knocked on our door to tell us she found some Legos in storage. She wanted to know what kind of pricing she should give the item and spoke about how she’s been trying to make extra money to afford rent. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and community awareness is why we chose her this year.
