Gloria Hernandez’ Story

This year I blessed a young lady who was at Walgreen’s pharmacy picking up her daughters prescrption.  She had to pay $10 out of pocket and told the pharmacist that she would need to come back because she didn’t have it.  She proceeded to say that she was going to attempt and ask her neighbor for the money in order to get the antibiotic for her daughter.  I followed her throughout the store and I introduced myself and told her about “Angels on the Street”.  I handed her the envelope she looked at me and said “Wow”.  For a brief moment I thought I had offended her.  She said I don’t know what to say. I gave her a hug and walked away ( I felt I was getting teary eyed).  As I was walking away I realized she opened the envelope and I heard her cry.  I’m so grateful I was at the right place at the right time.
