I felt proud to give my $100 to a nice older gentleman from my community. I’ve known
him for some time; he is a friend of my parents. I got word from an employee that works
with our local seniors that he was going through some rough times financially and
physically.
My husband and I went to his home, which I was a little nervous about not knowing what to
expect. He welcomed us into his home and I was able to sit down with him and tell him
about our company and its involvement with Angels on the Streets. As we sat with him
and listened to what he’s going through my husband and I just looked at each other and
knew.
I will never forget his eyes when I handed him the envelope and told him I wanted him to
have it. He was so grateful for the gift, and at that point I knew in my heart I picked the
perfect person to give it to.
