WOW, what an awesome opportunity that we were given one day at work without realizing how difficult the opportunity would turn out to be. We were given an envelope which contained a $100.00 bill to give to someone less fortunate than us, but the clincher was that we only had a limited amount of time in which to decide who to give it to. I really wanted it to be meaningful and significant, but I just couldn’t decide on what would make such an impact. But, after much thinking and talking about it, I decided to give it to the founder of the dog rescue we adopted our dog from; who had recently started a project called SPIN, which is Special Pets in Need. They help pay for vet services for pets of owners that can’t afford it, like surgeries, shots, spays, etc. After all, animals only have humans to rely on, and they can’t “ask” for the help. The recipient, Kristi E. was surprised and touched, as she said that it would cover a couple of spays and some shots for some special pet in need, and in turn, would make a less fortunate pet owner (lover) able to continue to take care of and love their pet.
