For my $100 charitable act I decided to spend the money on tangible groceries from Wal-Mart.  The items purchased included tube socks, gloves, crackers, peanut butter, fruit cups, fruit bars, granola bars, water bottles, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, shampoos…
These items will also be gathered from other charitable givers within my family’s network over the next 6 weeks.  The week of Christmas will be spent putting some of each of these items into separate gift bags.  Christmas morning a group of volunteers will drive around the Albuquerque area and hand deliver the bags to homeless individuals.

Last year this project was able to generate 60 large gift bag handouts.  With the extra purchases made with our donation this year, I think the number will be closer to 70.
