Tiffany’s Story

Andy and Sylvana Siegel graciously gave each employee at Payday, Inc. a $100.00 bill and asked that we give the money to either a family in need or an organization in the community, whatever we felt strongly about but most importantly they asked that we give from the heart. We received the money on a Thursday, were told we needed to give the money away over the upcoming weekend. It warmed my heart so much that I work for an employer that cares so much about our community and the people in it and have given their employees an opportunity to take part in giving back. Beautiful, what a blessing!!!

When I got home that evening, I told my daughter Trinity about what Andy and Sylvana were doing and asked her if she knew anyone at her school that was in need and she couldn’t think of anyone. So on Friday, we prayed together that God would put on our hearts direction of where we should donate the money. Saturday I took the money to church in hopes that the Lord would put someone in my path…. but to no avail I came home with the $100.00.

Finally, on Sunday morning I was taking out the trash and two very happy little boys were coming down the stairs of our apartment building with their father. I had seen them out several times before, playing with their parents. The family always seems so happy and you can see the love in how happy and gentle the boys are!! Instantly I felt a heaviness on my heart and I knew right then that God had chosen this young family in need to receive the money. I went back inside and told my daughter that I knew who we were giving the money to…..the family upstairs with the young boys and she agreed that this family would be perfect! I grabbed the envelope and said hurry, hurry Trin, get your shoes on we need to get upstairs. We went upstairs, nervously (strangers basically), knocked on the door and the mother answered with a newborn baby in her arms.;-) I knew right then that God was at work!!

I explained to the mother of three about what my gracious employer was doing in the community with Angels on the Street. I told her that my daughter and I prayed about a family that we could give the money to and that when I saw her husband with the two boys, immediately God told me to come up and give the money to her. I had no idea they had a newborn. She choked up and said, WOW, thank you so much, please tell your employer thank you so much and gave us a big hug!!! THANK YOU Andy and Sylvana for all you do in our community and what you continue to do!!! I feel so blessed to work at Payday and even more blessed that you allowed us to participate in giving back.

Sincerely,

Tiffany
